LeShea Wright LIVE! in the Lounge

Singing since age 3, LeShea cultivated her talent in church and at home. Growing up in a musical family, she took her influences straight from her immediate family. With her father being a musician, her Mother being a pianist and singer, and all her sisters being singers and lovers of all music, it wasn’t long before she was belting notes at the top of her lungs.  She began her professional career at Quality Hill Playhouse in the 2006 production of Christmas in Song and has become a staple at The Q.

LeShea majored in music vocal performance and received her degree from KCKCC in 2008.  Along the way, she picked up piano and violin and received a scholarship for violin.  She has had the opportunity to sing with many local choirs, Isaac Cates & the Ordained, and with Grammy-nominated Cortez Vaughn & Worship Culture.  LeShea has provided background vocals for artists such as Janelle Monae, Chrisette Michele, Trace Adkins, E. Jason Sims, and Fred Hammond and has appeared in two productions of Dreamgirls with KCKCC and The Black Repertory Theater.   She is also the leader of her band “LeShea & The Fellas” and is a praise and worship leader at her church, Mt. Carmel C.O.G.I.C.
