Founded in 2013, the 200 Voice Community Gospel Choir has become a Kansas City tradition, bringing together approximately 200 singers from across the Kansas City metropolitan area. This multigenerational choir represents people from diverse backgrounds, churches, communities, and musical experiences, all united by the power, joy, and soul of gospel music. Under the direction of Kevin Seaton, the choir has spent more than a decade bringing people together through unforgettable concerts filled with powerful vocals, dynamic musicianship, heartfelt worship, and the unmistakable energy of a live gospel choir.
What began in 2013 as a community choir has grown into a unique Kansas City musical experience that celebrates generations singing together as one. The 200 Voice Community Gospel Choir invites singers from throughout the metro to come together for a season of rehearsals, community, and music-making, culminating in a powerful live concert. This November, the choir returns to the historic Folly Theater for an inspiring evening celebrating the rich tradition of gospel music and the extraordinary sound that happens when 200 voices become one.
One community. One sound. 200 voices.
