This concert is a fundraising event celebrating our mission to expand opportunities for students while honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. George Washington Carver.

Established in 1943, the George Washington Carver Birthplace Association (CBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and community enrichment. One of our key initiatives is awarding annual scholarships to high school seniors pursuing higher education in the fields of Agriculture, Art, Education, Music, or Science.

Special Guest

The Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) District Honors Choir is a premier vocal ensemble composed of the district’s most accomplished student singers.

Directed by Willie Thornton, this award-winning choir—often performing alongside the District Honors Jazz Band—represents the highest level of vocal excellence and arts education within KCPS.

About the Artists

Edward Archibald is a seasoned jazz saxophonist with over 40 years of musical experience and a 2026 OEAA nominee. His sound is a rich fusion of Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Country, and Classical influences, creating a distinctive and expressive style.

Edward writes, produces, arranges, and performs original compositions, while also interpreting works from legendary artists across genres. Throughout his career, he has performed alongside Marcus Johnson, Najee, and Walter Beasley, and has opened for iconic performers such as Al Green and Jonathan Butler.

He has been featured in Omaha Magazine and has performed at notable events including the LOVAM Festival and the Omaha Jazz Experience.

Daniel Mack is a multi-instrumentalist, artist, and producer, and a graduate of the Los Angeles Recording School. Rooted in his Christian faith and deeply influenced by gospel music, Daniel blends jazz, R&B, soul, and gospel into a sound that is both timeless and authentic.

His industry experience includes collaborations with professionals connected to major artists such as Ice Cube and Travis Scott. He has also been mentored by Grammy Award-winning producers Carvin Winans and Paul “Phamous” Shelton, whose guidance has helped shape his artistic vision and career
