For the past 11 years, Development Director Brian Williams has hosted the Folly Garden Party in the garden of his historic Hyde Park home. This year, he is passing the picnic basket to Board Vice Chairperson Mark Carlson, M.D., who will host the event at his equally stunning home in Old Leawood.
Recently featured in IN Kansas City for its impeccable décor, Susan and Mark Carlson’s home provides the perfect setting for this beloved tradition. We hope our Folly Friends will join us for picnic fare, live jazz music, and refreshing beverages.

Inspired by the golden age of the KC jazz clubs, swing halls, and underground speakeasies, the show transforms the historic Folly Theater into a vibrant celebration of music, movement, and gravity-defying spectacle.
