Since 2009, The Moth Radio Hour has featured people from all walks of life telling true stories of their experiences, live and without notes. This Peabody Award-winning radio program airs on KCUR 89.3, Sundays at noon and Wednesday nights at 8:00. The Moth celebrates the ability of stories to honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience and to satisfy a vital human need for connection. It seeks to present recognized storytellers among established and emerging writers, performers and artists and to encourage storytelling among communities whose stories often go unheard.
Kansas Citians will be able to experience The Moth live on May 16, 2019. The Moth Mainstage at the Folly Theater is a curated event, featuring five storytellers who develop and shape their stories with Moth directors. Beyond theater, The Moth Mainstage is a community where entertainment and enlightenment merge.
