2018 KCAI + Folly Jazz Series Winning Posters!

We're excited to announce the posters that were picked for KCAI Graphic Design + Folly Jazz Series collaboration!

 

On Friday, September 21st, our panel of judges including Gale Tallis, Executive Director; James Maiden, Marketing Manager; Mikaela Garrett, Rival Designs; and Brian Henry, Lamar Advertising, visited the Kansas City Art Institute and judged over 60 posters designed by 15 Junior's enrolled in the KCAI Graphic Design course. Each of the 15 students chose their top 4 artists from the 36th Season of the Folly Jazz Series. After they familiarized themselves with the artist through research and listening to their music, the artists began designing the posters!

The Winning Posters

Though we wish we could feature every poster, we are excited to feature the seven below as the official posters for the Folly Jazz Series. Once again, our friends at Lamar Advertising Kansas City have offered to feature the seven winning posters as billboards across Kansas City, as well. The winners (in order of poster show dates) Caroline Heiss, Nile Kroner, Madison Hollingsworth, Kelsey Ragain, Anthony Bennett, Jessica Bee, Ezra Dufair. are Over the next several weeks we'll share interviews, along with the poster designs, by ALL 15 students.
