The Mask is a powerful and compelling stage play composed of a series of monologues that delve into the raw, real-life experiences of characters from diverse backgrounds. Each story peels back the layers of identity, trauma, and truth, revealing the hidden struggles behind the faces we show the world. Emotionally charged and deeply relatable, The Mask invites audiences on a transformative journey—one that may inspire them to examine and uncover their own mask. 

VIP includes a pre-show Celebrity Cast Meet & Greet scheduled from 6:00 – 6:45 PM.

About Brély Evans

Brély Evans is a multi-talented native from Oakland, California.  Evans is an actress, producer, vocalist, motivational speaker, comedienne, voice-over talent and author. Brely became the spokesperson for Jenny Craig 2013-14. This opportunity allowed her the chance to inspire and impact people across the world through her health and fitness journey. Brély is known for her bubbly charisma and charm with several years of experience in film and television. She has graced the screen for hit films including Just Wright, Sparkle, He’s Mine Not Yours, Black Coffee, The Man in 3B, Let the Church Say Amen, Black and Privileged, and the leading role in You Can’t Fight Christmas.

Evans television appearances includes BET’s Being Mary Jane, Mann and Wife, and  Last Call, and now The hit soap drama Ambitions as Rondell Lancaster on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. In March 2019, Evans received the NAACP Theater Award for Best Supporting Actress. Evans released her first book, The ABC’s of I Am’s and the audio book is now streaming on the ON! Channel. Brély is an entrepreneur and leader, she utilizes her platform to edify, empower, and encourage others to live out their purpose through perseverance, ambition, and passion. Water Walkers Worldwide was founded on these key principles to inspire others to get out of the boat of fear, and to walk on water towards their dreams.

 

About Columbus Short

Kansas City Native, Columbus Short is an award-winning actor, producer, choreographer, and singer/songwriter whose multidimensional talent has left a lasting imprint on film, television, and music. He first gained national attention with his breakout performance in the box-office hit Stomp the Yard—which debuted at #1 for two consecutive weeks and earned nominations from both the MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards. That star-making turn launched a career defined by versatility, cultural relevance, and creative growth. He went on to deliver acclaimed performances in Scandal (ABC’s highest-rated political drama), Cadillac Records (alongside Adrien Brody, Beyoncé, and Jeffrey Wright), Armored (with Matt Dillon and Laurence Fishburne), and The Losers (featuring Chris Evans, Zoe Saldana, and Idris Elba). For his portrayal in Cadillac Records, Short received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor and a Black Reel Award for Best Ensemble.

A creative force behind the scenes as well, Short made industry waves when he choreographed and creative directed Britney Spears’s Onyx Hotel Tour at just 20 years old. He has since founded his own production company, Great Picture Show Productions, and executive-produced titles like Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming, Strange Fruit, and Mr. Right. Short also starred in and produced the hit adaptation of True to the Game, based on Teri Woods’ bestselling novel, reprising his role across the franchise’s three-film run. In 2022, he portrayed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the award-winning Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story, further showcasing his depth as a dramatic actor. Most recently, he demonstrated his comedic range in the Bounce TV original sitcom Mind Your Business, starring as Alfonso Williams. Beyond screen work, he continues to expand artistically through music and writing. His autobiography, Short Stories, was published in 2020, and his single “EZ”—which he wrote and co-produced—is out now on all major platforms. He also co-wrote the Top 40 hit “My Type” for Tylan featuring Soulja Boy.
