OUTside Voices, Kansas City’s 4-voice part, LGBTQ+ chorus performs Homeward Bound, the Kansas City premiere of Dr. Kathleen McGuire’s Street Requiem, at the C. Stephen Metzler Hall at the historic Folly Theater. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Street Requiem, which seeks to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to many communities struggling with homelessness and street violence.”

The performance features Kansas City’s own, soaring soprano, Stacey Stofferahn and towering tenor, Sean Carder accompanied by an exquisite string quarter. The performance will be conducted by Dr. Joseph P. Nadeau, the founding artistic director of OUTside Voices KC.

As homelessness continues to grow, it is time a work of music addressed this issue that affects so many.
