Shon Ruffin

Kansas City native Shon Ruffin graduated from K-State with a B.A. in Theater Performance and a minor in Spanish. She has been performing as an Actors’ Equity Association member since 2016. Regional productions include Dreamgirls, Hairspray (New Theatre Restaurant); Elephant and Piggie, A Charlie Brown Christmas (The Coterie); West Side Story (Spinning Tree); Heathers (Unicorn Theater); Dreamgirls in Concert (Black Rep Theater); Chasing Dem Blues (Milwaukee Rep Theatre). For seven years she has been rocking with KC’s favorite wedding and corporate bands, Lost Wax and 2Proud2Beg. She has gone on to perform on various stages including, The Midland, The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and Kemper Arena. She is proudly the newest member of The Freedom Affair, one of the funkiest original bands in KC taking their music across the country. There is nothing that Shon enjoys more than spreading joy with her music and performing.
