Kathy Barnard: Reflections on Louis Curtiss

2022. Kathy Barnard, artist Stained glass panels commissioned by the Folly Theater with a gift from Laura and Reubin Perin. Kathy Barnard was raised in Kansas City, Missouri.  She studied at the Kansas City Art Institute before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas.  Using her own hand-drawn and hand-cut designs, Kathy has developed her own technique for sandblasting on glass, as well as a variety of art glass techniques, which she incorporates into her work.  Kathy has received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, and she was inducted into the University of Kansas Women’s Hall of Fame in 1991.  She maintains her art glass studio and gallery in the East Crossroads.
