Rita Blitt: Bach Suite B

Rita Blitt, artist Oil on canvas. Installed in the Balcony Lounge to the west of the bar. Gift of Parsons Dance Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Rita Blitt is an internationally award-winning painter, sculptor and filmmaker. She studied at the University of Illinois before earning her bachelor of arts degree from the Kansas City University (now UMKC). She attended classes at the Kansas City Art Institute, received the UMKC Spotlight Alumnus Award in 2010, and in 2019 she was awarded an Honorary Doctoral degree from Washburn University. Her works are included in many museums, private collections and public spaces around the world.
