Folly Theater to Remain Closed through May 15th

As of this morning, Thursday, April 16th, Kansas City’s Stay-at-Home order has been extended to May 15th (first announced on KSHB).

The Folly, in support of the Stay-at-Home order, will keep both the Folly Theater and its administrative offices closed through Friday, May 15th, with the hopes to reopen on Monday, May 18th.

Like other organizations in these difficult times, the Folly is asking for help if you’re able to. With the Stay-at-Home order, the Folly has no performances from late March to at least June 1st. There are several ways to help give back and support the Folly Theater.

  1. Become a monthly sustainer – Your monthly donation of $5, $10, or whatever you can give makes a major step in the Folly Theater’s sustainability for the future.
  2. Make a one-time donation – Any donation you can make will go directly into guarding the Folly Theater against these tough economic times.
  3. Buy tickets to an upcoming concert – When you purchase tickets to a concert in July, August, September, and on, that purchase both supports the Folly Theater and the rental clients that utilize our theater (many of which are local presenting organizations).
  4. Be a Folly Advocate – Simply share our message. Share an event on Facebook that you plan on attending. Tell your network how they can support the Folly. Start a Facebook fundraiser. Little actions add up fast and we can’t accomplish our goals without you.

Thank you, Kansas City, for all you do to keep #KCStrong and healthy!
